Question Time

Today, I'm wondering...

What makes you lose your cool?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And in happier news...
**If you're looking for an amazingly romantic read right now, might I suggest Love's Reckoning by Laura Frantz?? You won't be disappointed!
***Check back on Thursday the 18th for a deep look into Laura's life! She was such a sport with all my random questions. :)
  1. Ooh, ooh, that book's in my must-read-like-right-now pile!
    As for what makes me lose my cool? Those random and thankfully rare mornings when I realize I'm out of coffee. :) Or when I'm at work and go to refill my coffee mug and there's like half-a-sip left in the pot. Start a new pot, people!
    Yeah, my coffee is really important to me. :)
    1. Morning Melissa! Your "must-read-like-right-now" pile is exactly where Laura's books should be...or in your hands! ;) Sadly, I'm not a coffee person, so I never understand the love affair with that particular beverage...but I can imagine...(are you an Anne fan?) LOL
  2. Blatant rudeness is difficult for me.
    Or hearing someone cutting someone else down.
    1. Agreed! Sometimes I just don't know what people are thinking...do they not hear themselves?? Makes me sad.
  3. I'm with Wendy. I just saw a college kid being rude to a restaurant employee, and I wanted to karate chop him or call his mother or something. Stuff like that drives me nuts.
    1. I'd like to see your karate chop, Julie!! ;)
    2. Julie!
      I love that you want to karate chop him! I can totally see it! Ha!
      I have to admit, this is one that really gets my goat. Not karate, but treating food service, retail, etc. people rudely. We expect good service, shouldn't they expect to be treated with respect? Come on, people, it's a two way street here! Just because we're "paying for their service" doesn't give us the right to be rude. GROWL! Or Hieeeee-yah!
      Loved Laura's book. Loved it. LOVED it.
  4. I like a schedule. I'm waaaaay less rigid than I used to be, but when people are like really late and don't even tell me they're going to be...especially if I've got dinner ready or something...yeah, that bothers me. :) Fits in with the rude thing discussed above.
    1. I'm totally with you Lindsay on the being late thing. I once heard someone (probably my pastor) talk about tardiness and how it basically equates to arrogance. Why is my time more valuable than the other persons? Anyway, that always stuck with me so being late to anything gets my anxiety up big time.
  5. For me, it's a misuse of the word retarded. And like Wendy, rudeness...completely unnecessary. Don't get me started on novels that are listed as romance, but lack a happily ever after. ;)
  6. If I feel like I am under pressure from a lot of sources I can lose my cool more easily. Sometimes it's just on the inside, but it's still not a good thing. :)
    Just started Laura's book and I love it so far. I am sure this trend will continue. :)
  7. I tend to lose my cool if people have said they'd do something, then they don't follow through. Which is probably why I take on more than I should, because sometimes it's easier to just do it myself. :)
  8. If there's a ton of noise (like my kids talking to me all at once or fighting all at once), then I might start exploding. lol
    Otherwise I'm fairly calm.
  9. I don't always respond as gracefully as I'd like when I pick up the phone and it's another telemarketer making cold calls.
